Total Station

A total station is a land surveying tool that measures angles and distances very precisely. It measures distance like a laser range finder, but much more accurately. It is an advanced instrument in that it can report both slope and horizontal distances. So it looks more like a camera, but measures more accurately than a tape measure, and has a built in calculator.
