Rod / Pole

Rod and Pole are the same thing. This being a unit of measurement where 1 rod equals 16.5 feet. This unit of measurement goes back to the time of the original survey in the mid to late 1800's. The original survey for many states was done with a four pole chain, or a 66 feet long chain.
