GPS / GNSS Survey
A GPS or GNSS Survey means a survey done with GPS equipment, as opposed to older, traditional ways of surveying. Surveying has evolved from knots on rope, to steel chains with loops, to steel tapes and transits,
to total stations, to robotic total stations and finally to GPS equipment. As equipment progresses and becomes more accurate, so does a surveyors ability to measurement more accurately. So whether you're using a
300 foot cloth tape, a measuring wheel, or GPS equipment, it comes down to understanding the equipment's limitations and having the skill to wield them.
