Field Monumentation

This refers to the physical placement of monuments to show the location of property corners, boundary lines, easements, grade, etc. The word monument is a general word that refers to markers of various material types, such as: a concrete right of way marker, a half inch rebar, a three quarter inch steel pipe, a tpost, a 5/8" rebar with a 3" aluminum cap on it, railroad spike, cotton gin spike, etc.
