Elevation Certificate

An Elevation Certificate is a standardized form created by FEMA to communicate the difference in elevation of the floor of a building and the approximate flood level, or base flood elevation, of that specific building location. It is used by City and County jurisdictions to set the minimum floor height of proposed structures. It's also used by insurance companies to determine risk and coverage rates.
